I've rescued over 70
kittens and 30 adults between two assisted livings. Animal Control has repeatedly failed
to respond to me and others. When I’ve had all I could safely care for at home some
stayed outside in the shelters I provided and many died. (You can see the
shelters at FB page Friends of the Ferals in Clarksville)
I requested fosters and asked them to establish a bank of fosters, they didn’t respond. They ignored my email that said "Due to needing cancer surgery I need help resolving feral community ASAP."

Mayor Durrett told the
current Director to call me. He supposedly had the wrong number. When he got
the correct number he never called. I've mentioned that during speeches here
and he still hasn’t called. It broke my heart to see he wrote a lengthy thank
you (on Facebook) to the wealthy volunteers who took him on a tour of the
helicopters at Ft. Campbell where he got to use the flight simulators.
The assisted living Directors are very unhappy that AC won’t respond. Last week they said "We love you Barry". A vet tech where I took a cat last week said "We love you Barry". I'm telling you this because I have done nothing that should cause AC to ignore me for years.
Due to my cancer I can’t continue. I’ve gotten the numbers down to about 10 adult cats. In the near future when I cut back the food and then cut it out the senior citizens I love will look out their windows and see these cats and kittens I love suffer and die. In my last speech I told you I’m very distraught about this, but no one has done anything !!!! There are homeless kittens and cats all over Montgomery County.
There are wonderful staff members
and volunteers at Animal Control who save many lives but Animal Control should not
try to manage Ft. Campbell’s animals until they have much better control over their
operation here.
